Chicago North Western Railway train symbol PRNPA enters Clinton, Iowa on October 26, 1988. The swing bridge crosses the Mississippi River. It was completed in 1908 and according to the UP opens about nine times a day. This limits the bridge to no more than 63 trains each day. This train had engines 5064 and UP 3601. Train PRNPA began in the 60s as train 249 (Union Pacific Forwarder). It became the PRNPA on November 12, 1981 and became symbol PRNP in 1995. Disk 79
