Southern Pacific empty coal train at Richland Creek Bridge

Southern Pacific train 259 squeezes through the Richland Creek Bridge south of Corsicana, TX. The BN units are mixed with SP engines and are pulling the San Antonio coal empties. At Fort Worth the train will be turned over to the BN for the long haul back to the Powder River Basin. This is a through truss bridge. One interesting feature on this structure is the completion date is on each end of the bridge near the top. Looks like this one was completed in 1909. Disk 99
