B&O SD40 7500 Sand Patch, PA

The helper set now lead by engine 3800 is in the helper pocket across from the tower. The engineer on Extra 7500 East is beginning to ease back on the throttle as his train is cresting the summit. Engine 7500 is an SD40 built by EMD in 1969.

C&O GP7 5851 Sand Patch, PA

Tacked on the rear end behind the caboose are a GP38 and two geeps: 3828, 6670, and a very dusty 5851. Engine 5851 is a GP7 built by EMD in 1951 for the C&O.
