This is a view from the tower of engine 7601. It will be the lead unit as this two unit helper set returns to Hyndman. The brick tower replaced a wooden tower in 1914 after the completion of double tracking the tunnel. The tower was closed on November 7, 2001. Engine 7601 is an SD40-2 built by EMD in 1977 later renumbered to 8243. Disk 120 |
