A San Antonio coal train is stopped at Dalhart, TX and waiting to meet its empty counterpart on May 13, 1980. This train was turned over to the Southern Pacific at Fort Worth, then went to the City Public Service power plant at Elmendorf, TX. These trains had a mixture of BN and SP EMD SD40s and GE U30Cs and U33Cs pulling SATX gondolas. |
