UP symbol train NOFW Belt Jct

Train NOFW rolls by Belt Junction tower on March 7, 1987. UP symbol NOFW began as MP train 91 and became the NF in the early 70s. It became the AVFW on September 10, 1985 and became the NOFW in late 1986. South of Belt Junction Tower is SP's Miller Yard. The tower operator controlled all of the switches around the tower. He or she had to coordinate movements with the yardmaster at Miller Yard, the operator at Tower 19, and the operator at MP Junction Tower, two miles to the northeast. At that time there were five active interlocking towers in Dallas.
