Six days later (July 19, 1988) the same train pauses at Chambers for a crew change. However, the power has been shuffled around. The train now has engines 5138, 5026, 5059, and 5110 on the point with engines 5063, 5117, 5115, and 5104 cut into the middle. Normally the coal trains that load at Lee Ranch change crews in front of the station at Gallup or in the yard.
