Lupton was named for George W. Lupton, a trainmaster at Winslow in the early 1900s. The tracks actually reached Lupton on May 1, 1881. Train VCWPX (Extra 5867 West) comes by on February 24, 1988. The installation of CTC was completed between Gallup and Winslow in 2001. Disk 66
