Southern Pacific Railroad freight train symbol WCRVM at Stockton Tower

The first Stockton tower was built in the late 1890s. In 1908 ATSF installed an electric interlocker. The 3rd tower was built in 1943 and looked similar to East Tower in Amarillo. The tower was closed in January 1999 and demolished in May.

Engines 9185 9341, 7415, 7452, 9393, and 8494 cross the Santa Fe mainline at Stockton Tower on June 10, 1987 with train WCRVM. East of the tower engine 608 pulls a short cut of cars over the Santa Fe mainline on its way to the north end of town to do some switching on May 31, 1978. Disk 25
