SP engines 9296, 9294, 9295, and 9293 bring a UP train into the new Summit on February 4, 1974. The units were going to Council Bluffs for tests. Notice the dynamometer car right behind the units. |

Later the same day UP Extra 866 West crosses over from the north to the south main at the top of Cajon Pass. The train has engines 866, SP9269, 8987, BN6913, and a GP9. This is not a long train as you can see the caboose just coming into view around the curve. Disk 50 |
