Picture gallery of Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight trains in Texas and New Mexico

You are in the CarrTracks website Picture Gallery. This gallery has 31 pages with 61 pictures.

I took a short mini-vacation in October 2006. Most of the pictures are of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight trains between Wichita Falls, TX and Lupton, AZ. Pictures shown in this gallery come from two very different cameras. I have a Sony digital camera that stores pictures on floppy disks. It is old, but it still works. My newest camera is a Sony HD video camcorder. It can also take digital pictures, but all of the pictures from that camera are snap shots captured from the videotape. Because of the higher resolution of the HD camcorder, the snapshots don't look too bad. The only problem is that high speed trains tend to blur slightly due to the shutter speed being set at 1/60th of a second. This is the best speed for video which was my main objective. Take a look at the gallery and see if you can tell the difference between the pictures. Barring transcription errors and my dyslexia, I think I have all the correct engine numbers. There were times I was so busy filming that I didn't have time to record all of the numbers.
