With all of the trains the BNSF is running during the Christmas Rush, it is easy for things to get backed up. A rail inspection earlier in the morning has placed a 30mph restriction on the north main between Rio Puerco and Dalies. There are seven eastbound trains on the north main between Rio Puerco and the crossover at Suwanee. To prevent delaying Amtrak, the dispatcher is running number 3 down the south track.

Amtrak has crossed over to the north main and is meeting the SALTLHW (Alliance, TX to West Basin Container Terminal stack train).
