The New Mexico Rail Runner Express is building a new passenger station at the north end of the yard in Belen. Soon commuters will be able to board a Rail Runner train and zip into Albuquerque. The SLHAPTR (LA Harbor Pier 400 to Port Terminal Railway in Houston stack train) has come down the hill from Dalies and is slowing for refueling and a crew change. The train had engines 5113, 4674, and 7674. |

If you hold your nose there is even a port-a-potty at the north end of the platform. Notice that there is plenty of parking. No one came by to hassle me about taking pictures. Best time for pictures here is early in the morning as the tracks run almost due north-south. |
