What a difference a day makes. On the second day of my trip the temperature was in the mid70s. It was warm and pleasant. When I got up on the third morning a cold front had blown through and the wind chill was 33 degrees. I finally caught up with a westbound train at Santa Rosa.

Extra 5103 West pulls a string of autoracks across the Pecos River Bridge. The trees have grown up so much in this area that you can hardly see the bridge anymore.
